Go to the top. 7 Levels of Consciousness

Listening to my favorite teacher the other day, Bob Proctor. He was going on about creating your own economy. That means getting wealthy. The audiobook is:

It’s from a thing called the MATRIX. When Bob was still alive he gave this talk for a company. This had the purpose of getting their salespeople to be more effective.

In my circle, there are a few people at the very bottom. They/them is an “animal” they react: to everything. Always either in fight or flight mode. And at the top? There is Mastery. Like Bob saId before: Stop and think, think and respond. Mastery means exactly that. You respond.

But then there is Stephen Covey’s version:

And we must remember Viktor Frankl’s idea too

Viktor Frankl argued that while external forces can strip away possessions and freedom, individuals always retain the power to choose their attitude and response to any situation. This “last human freedom” means finding meaning in suffering and maintaining dignity, even under extreme conditions. The core is finding space between stimulus and response, where we choose our actions

And since IMHO the Social-Emotional Learning is really good.. there is a technique it shares. In Social-Emotional Learning, that method is called the STOP method. This is for when something happens, and you don’t know what to do. (Stimulus and Response)

S.T.O.P. Method

  • S – Stop
  • T – Take a breath
  • O – Observe
  • P – Proceed

So S – Stop, just stop what you are doing. T – Take a breath you can use the box method if you want. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, breathe out for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds. Try to relax. O – Observe means, to see what is going on around you, and also check to see what is going on inside of you. You’ll need to be a bit self-aware for this. Yes, SEL teaches about self-awareness too. P – Proceed, See above for Covey’s idea. In this stage you can just practice what you have been taught. The possibilities are endless, You can..

  • make a joke?
  • see what is similar to what you have experienced?
  • use the laws? say what would be the polar opposite? what is smaller relatively?
  • use chi gong on the person?
  • experiment with new ideas that you have learned? say you were reading “Verbal Judo?”

This simple method, will create Masters, responders. I have shared this with parents. First I ask them to remember somebody who is in the animal kingdom level. Fight or Flight all the time people. Then who is at the Mastery level? The calm people who will stop to consider what you say, and respond with understanding and sometimes offer their knowledge.

If you practice this and it becomes a habit, you’ll get to top quick!

Bob proctor taught this, and it was for wealth. The message is, the higher you go the better you will create.

Imagine this:

Animal Level Person, creates a business. He is all about fighting and flighting. What is the product? A stick with a nail in it? Or how about a noise maker which causes a bang! with promises that you’ll run faster when you are scared? Here’s the product photo:

Stick with nail in it $5

You could tell these people that you have a spiritual weapon they can buy from you, and they’d line up to buy it.

Now let’s look at what the Level 7 People can create: solutions. They will find people with pain points, they will offer them answers. Problems will be solved. They know they are good at something, and if they can find a way to package it, the people who need it wil buy from them.

B.E.T.S Integration

Well, getting to the top seems kind of easy then, because all that is needed is to think and act like a responsive person.

With b.e.t.s. this can be done. Pick one of these four to start:

Behaviour: use the S.T.O.P. method.

Thought: Do your best, it’s not a race to see who’s quickest. “It’s what you do with it.”

Emotion: Practice Peace and meditation. Before speaking, go to the peaceful place, seek to speak in a peaceful way

Self-Image: have enough knowledge to share; be a better listener so you can know how you can help.
